In 1980, she predicted that Kursk would be “covered with water and the whole world would weep over it. 20 years later, in 2000, a Kursk submarine sank during a practice exercise. Tragically, all 118 sailors on board were killed.

Predicting the Tragedy of September 11, 2001

After the Kursk predictions, she had another vision that caught peoples’ attention. In 1989 she stated, “Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush”.

Not All Her Predictions Have Been Correct

Baba Venga’s predictions have not all been correct. Although she was right about America’s first Black president, she also claimed that he would be the country’s last. She also claimed that Europe would cease to exist by the year 2017, though Britain did vote to leave the European Union in 2016.

Baba Venga’s predictions go all the way to the year 5079, which is when she claims the world will end. Her predictions become increasingly bizarre as the world progresses. Many people are skeptical of the blind mystic as there is no real evidence of any prophecies being real, despite many claiming that 85% of her predictions have come true.

Worse for believers, the U.K.’s Daily Express claimed that many of the supposed predictions by Baba Venga were created by Russian trolls. She died in 1996 at 85.
